LGBT History in Arizona

In 1969, the Stonewall Riots in New York City gave birth to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Civil Rights Movement. In the decades to follow LGBT communities and activists, from across the country, organized and protested in order to overcome homophobia and discrimination. This exhibit, a collaboration between Phoenix Pride, Hip Historian, and ASU Libraries, highlights 45 years of local LGBT history.
